Chondroma of the Thoracic Vertebrae Base with Abdominothoracic Aorta Involvement, a Case Report and Review of the Literature

Spinal chondroma is a rare benign tumor it accounts for 2.8% of bone tumours and 12% all tumours. 3.6% to 4% are located in the spine representing 10% chondromas. It can originate from vertebral bodies or posterior arch described patients between 5 78 years age [1]. We present clinical case 60 year old woman, who consulted dorso-thoracic pain around belt line was treated as gastroduodenal ulcer, after Pott's disease on basis an imaging diagnosis showing spondylodiscitis lesions with paravertebral spindle D11-D12. Firstly, operated by approach laminectomy spondylodesis D10 D11- L1 L2 biopsy whose anatomopathological examination diagnosed directing towards total corporectomy anterior antero-lateral way. After refusal second operation patient, she came back consultation 3 months later Frankel B paraplegia, anemia cachexia. The MRI CT show evolution spondylolytic D11 debricolage osteosynthetic material invasion thoracic aorta its collaterals; very high risk damaging Adam kiewizc artery postoperative paraplegia during management without endovascular team compromised this operative step. low sensitivity chemotherapy aggravation lesion therapeutic doses radiotherapy tumour directed palliative care.
 Dorsal that requires early complete resection avoid aortic inversion increase complications compromise definitive treatment tumour.
